Pain Machines

Pain Machines

Grandpa was out in the yard playing tag with his grand children.  From the windows of the senior living apartments, many of the tenants were watching them with envy.  After the kids were worn out, they pleaded with grandpa to stop.
When the fun was over, they came back inside the building and everybody grabbed their walkers and came over and asked him where he got all of his vitality from.
“From the pain machine,” he said.  “I just walked inside the booth and pushed the button marked (comfort.)  All of my pain vanished like it was never there before.  My knees feel like they did sixty years ago.
Pain machines are what makes old age bearable; no more doctors and no more meds.  I heard about the machine when we were vacationing in the Far East.  I tried it out and it worked like a charm.  I took the liberty of ordering one for the building here.  Don’t worry about reimbursing me, because it is my gift to all of you here.”
What a gift it turned out to be.  After it arrived, the apartment building came alive with a new zest for life; something that was lacking before.  Every Saturday night we have a break dancing contest.  We have to keep the noise down, because sometimes we really get rowdy.  Hip hip hooray for the pain machine!!
