That First Kiss

It is a prelude to that magic vibration,
Carrying two lovers to the
World of dreams and revelations,
Fleeing from the world left behind
Of weights and measures,
Where love is a word and affinity a myth.

It lifts the lovers to a higher plateau,
Proclaiming the heart a throne,
Love a king, and fidelity a crown.
It melts all rhetoric into a warming poem
As it climbs inside and settles in,
And introduces them to a world of bliss.

Love is a seed sown in the
Garden of the human heart, and the
First kiss is the first flower
That blossoms from it.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone out there.
