The Aroma

Sweet air, oh thou hast come to me,
Reaching through the air with the wind
With your alluring smiles and saintly garb,
Running with your loving arms extended,
Showering me with sweet rose petals,
Casting them into the sun drenched sky,
Through the wild where the spirit runs free,
My new home in the skies of the lovely Iris,
Where rainbows stretch into and out of view,
Where an imaginary Eden appears in the light,
Where pure waters run over craggy cliffs,
Where rain forests drink the dews of heaven,
Where the fruits fall through my open lips,
Where heaven smiles with its sweet breath,
Filling my nostrils like the aroma of jasmine
As it climbs into my heart and soul
And draws me closer to the land of enchantment,
Of dreams that I can touch with my fingers,
That I can fly and play with the eagles,
Then go back home when I’m tired
And lay down my head and
Dream within a dream.

Stay with me for a
Fort-night or two thou sweet air.
Or stay as long as you wish.
Or take me to an enchanted island
Where I can live out my days with you,
For you draw me closer to heaven
With thy aroma.
