The Melting Pot

Generations upon generations of the good
Thrown together, each one as traditions stood
Through the years, from standing on their own
Rising from birth, see how they’ve grown

Each one no better than the other
What is mine is also for my brother
We all are made of flesh and blood
As gardens grow from seed to bud

The beauty of religions blended together
A dazzling peacock all down to one feather
United as one all that lies down there beneath
For those who seek, an endowment to bequeath
The melting pot, a potpourri of the best
For God’s children, from him rightly blessed
