Thievery

Thievery

His eyes are windows to the soul
Hell’s fire through a blackened hole
His hardened life knows no tranquility
To find his prey he drifts into the city

His cunning smiles a flash upon his face
His victim’s trust their hearts full of grace
Not knowing this stranger’s intentions
He gives of himself for charity’s extensions

The giving life not so giving anymore
Lessons learned about the big city lore
Trust is like finding a diamond in the rough
Through the maze, the going gets tough

A friend is a valuable treasure
Trust is an extension of love and faith
Given to one who is
trustworthy and reciprocal
