Don't Be Ashamed My Young Love

Don’t be ashamed my young love,
There is some good in the worst of us,
And some bad in the best of us,
So don’t make no drama, no big fuss,
We are humans sharing this fair land,
And it takes a lot from a man,
To even raise or take against either,
A graceful yet firm stand,

Don’t worry my young love,
The time it’ll come when you find,
The one who is meant for you,
A man or woman undefinably kind,
Or sweet or loving or right just for you,
Give it time for a flower only blooms,
With time and yellow glowing sunlit fumes,

Oh don’t be scared my young love,
The world is a huge and mighty force,
It’s place with so many places,
Faces, gazes, chances, and failures,
But look toward the emerald pastures,
Where the wild wind can blow,
You in any direction it chooses,
Love will come,
No matter how lonesome it gets,
Love will come,
No matter how tiresome it becomes,
My young love it all may make you feel numb,

I awoke dreaming half asleep of an angel,
I once knew,
I awoke dreaming slit-eyes not prepped for knowledge,
I knew would come,
I awoke with thoughts on my mind,
Thoughts of fading time,
And how I wish she was mine,
But all in all to have her would be wrong,
the complete opposite of fine,
So don’t be ashamed my young love,
There is some good in the worst of us,
And some bad in the best of most,
Just glide like a floating falcon,
Towards the emerald coast,
Awaiting desire,
Awaiting the fire,
Awaiting and awaiting,
So don’t be ashamed,
Just be aware that out of all the contenders,
I am by far one of the worst dreamiest offenders...
