Dream No. 43 and 34

Late last night a crazy dream came to me,
I dreamed I was flying over the sea,
The stars were not shining and the sea looked black,
No way in, and no way back

This pair of eyes, they called to me,
They took to a land right by the sea,
The wind was roaring but the night was warm,
The trees sung songs until the breaking of the morn,

I was led to a room, so warm and so bright,
Covered in gold, silver, and white,
In front of a fire, my love waits for me,
In a little room, in a town, by the sea,

Her hair it flows long, it shines in the day,
Her eyes, that led me, shine in the night,
She doesn’t even speak but yet she sings,
And she moves with grace of a baby bird’s wing,

Though the night moves, it moves unaware,
Of all the movements inside its care,
I said goodbye to my love upon the shore,
And she said I could see her only one time more,

When I awoke, the threat in my mind,
Drove me to stare at the wall for some time,
I waited until night to close my eyes,
I opened them to starless skies,

I said,” My love, how can you ask me again,
I can’t join you for I have life to live”
She said,” My love, its true you have to live,
But I’ve got to die, and lie with the wind”

Now when I dream, I dream of the sky,
The ultimate barrier flying so high,
It doesn’t matter that my love is gone,
Love moves us back, love moves us back on...
