To My Dog

Ozymanidas,
You are my best friend,
On our ship, we master and command,
I know you you’ll stay with me 'till the end,

Ozymanidas,
Laying there just before the blazing fire,
And I with my quill, gazing upon your,
Cotton candy, fluffy, mangled,
Pure as white snow hair,
A sniff at the air,
Enough to calm your mind,
A sight of the room,
Enough to blow my mind,
Apart,

Drunkin’ and mangled,
You have listened to words,
I should’ve been killed for,
Should’ve been strung up for,
But you listen,
With a sniff and a burp,
With a cliffhanging fart,
No judgement from you,
No petty remark,
Nothing but dedication,
All a drunkin’, swollen, mangled, poor,
Gypsy soul like myself,
Needs in that late Godless hour,
I dragged myself in from the cold,
To the warmth of your eternal patience,

Ozymanidas, King of Kings,
There shall be no fading of your excellent kingdom,
There shall be no fading of your tombstone,
There shall be no fading of your legacy,
There shall be no fading of your remembrance,
For you are my Luck Dragon,
I ride upon your flawless wings,
To lands no one could guess existed,
Where by a spring of purest azure water,
You lapping, and I sipping,
We share silent laughter,
At the fact we can escape while others must remain,

Ozymanidas, King of Kings,
He has returned,
He is mine, he is my first mate,
Upon our Chesterfield wooden ship of,
Emotional disaster and Fantastical adventure,
Let us continue,
King of Kings, to find what is lost,
In motion, in words, in emotion,
In confusion, in intelligence,
Let us continue to journey through the land,
Of Endlessness,

Ozymanidas,
The King of Kings,
Has returned,
Only to be described and seen,
Within perfected elegance...
