one and only

Couldn’t help but notice the sudden stirring in your voice,
The sound of whispered worries, suspect stutters in your poise.
Create a brand new victim brand their name upon your chest,
Make it look a little like you were judged by all the rest.

You cry and cry your alibis, force fed funnel to my throat.
Digest the drivel to end the pain, or disbelieve and choke.
I trusted you, I trusted you but what you speak deceives.
I’m done with these repeated words, these endless apologies.

You can’t use lies against the flies that buzz toward a corpse,
Revealing your secret that’s been hidden beyond the doors.
Someone’s bound to find out when your fib a penny short.
But I don’t care what you say anymore, anymore.
