Thank You for the Torment

Thank you for the torment
It let lose something in me that was dormant
I changed my entire being because of you
Because of all the agony that my body has been through
I’ll always be a failure
If the world always compares me to someone else
All I want is to feel secure
I don’t want any mental help
I don’t need a therapist
I don’t see a psychiatrist
I just wanna fill up the void of emptiness
To strengthen the esteem of my conciseness

I don’t bleed for the world like I used to
I’ve wiped off the musky dew
I don’t scream for a savior like I had once sought
And all I ever was and will be is something that you forgot
You’ve earned nothing but loss

I don’t need a transformation
I don’t look forward to isolation
We don’t see the written cosmetics
That change our faces every day in the form of anesthetics
I will always be a sore to someone’s eyes
I will never be good enough to fit in on this planet
You’ll inspect me thoroughly and amount my size
Don’t try to pull me in like I’m some scrap metal and you’re a magnet
I don’t want the baggage
I don’t need the damage
I just want to have the higher advantage
The open wounds burn so bad I can barely stand it

I don’t bleed for the world like I used to
I’ve wiped off the musky dew
I don’t scream for a savior like I had once sought
And all I ever was and will be is something that you forgot

You’ve earned nothing but loss
Stop reaching for your filthy glasses
Reach for the sky as your wings are fastened
Stop the killing spree that takes souls by the thousands
The bodies making hills that are almost too massive
To climb up and over
Stop letting this burden fall right on your shoulders
Lift your head with me
Lift your gaze to meet my own
Don’t be ashamed of me
Don’t be ashamed of yourself for being all alone

Don’t bleed for the world like you used to
You’ll wipe off the musky dew
Don’t scream for a savior like you had once sought
And all they ever were and will be is something that you forgot
They’ve earned nothing but loss

We don’t bleed for the world like we used to
We’ve wiped off the musky dew
We don’t scream for a savior like we had once sought
And all we ever were and will be is something that they forgot
They’ve earned nothing but loss
We are not the same
We have earned everything there is to gain
