Long Island Sound

Twisting and turning
And cracking and aching
All sorts of crazy bodily functions going on at one moment.
A tip, a  tap
A wrist, a crack
A drip of blood in a silent act
A sad little person, that no one really knew
She was somewhat ordinary, she looked just like me and you
Her hope was lost, too far to be found
Her hope was left somewhere, along the Long Island Sound.
Never to be picked up again, this girl took her life for granted
She knew she had it good, but for still some reason was sad
Maybe it was because of all those hits from her Dad.
Her mother wasn’t really there, just the presents of a woman figure in the air, her dad was more of a mother than her own mother ever could of been.
People calling her names, calling her a slut.
That’s it she’s had it
Enough is enough.
So we went into her closet, and found the piece of rope
She tied it around herself, and tried to coke
Just at that moment, someone bust through the door!
A savor to her! She would be dead no more
The girl cried for hours, astonished that she was alive
She looked at the midnight stars, and saw all the things that she had never seen before.
She was happy to be alive, she now knew that she wasn’t a selfish whore,
Just a little girl, that was slightly misguided and alone
Her only true friend was her telephone
