That Time Of My Life
Let’s take it back now, to the day when I first met you.
Little did I know, everything we’d be going through
I look back, at my past
At that time of my life
And I think to myself, what a wonderful time If I could go back in time,
And never met you
Save myself from the pain, time, and effort that I spent on you
I wouldn’t change a thing at all
I’d still make myself meet you
You made me who I am today,
But you also made me forget who I was back than
Not knowing how much you’d change my life
I’d look forward for every single night.
As time went on, we lost our stride
And I guess you decided to tell me goodbye
You left a hole the size of Kansas in my heart,
Too big to stich
Too big to handle
As time went by
It opened and closed,
but now I’m just here,
Left alone
Sometimes I’d wish you’d come back to me
Sometimes I wish I could say
I was sorry
But what’s done is done
And you can’t look (go) back,
So I guess that’s why they call it your past
