By Whichever Grace

If I were a Christian man,
I’d say God graced your wings my way;
If it’s all a part of greater plans
I couldn’t have written a better play.
And I don’t know if there’s a bond
That fills us out as lost soul mates,
Or destiny dragging us along;
Maybe that’s why it feels so great
Standing in your presence, pure,
A blessing as great as their Mary
But in the thought we merely came along
And met each other randomly
I see a beauty there still higher than
Any heaven could dare compare,
That our purpose comes from a shared love
And the knowledge that we care.
So when I look into your eyes
Though strange, just let it be;
I marvel at my overwhelming luck
Having found the perfect soul for me.
