The trees quiver with the yawning night
And I struggle by an inner plight;
Where went the words I need to say?
I can feel them, but they’re locked away.
The insects buzz and socialize;
It comes to me somewhat a surprise
That it brings along a sense of peace
To see thoughts given form; they never cease.
One day the nerves will disappear,
And with it the blocks set down by fear.
At least I hope, and for that I’ll fight
As I best know how; I’ll continue to write.
