Can you believe it?
We go to see the capitol.
Such a ‘scape of fabricated
hopes and dreams.
Bar crawl along the boulevard,
pictures of broken creases
all I see among your faces.
Build it, big and better
for the soul of modern family.
Tool and farm hoe, got the pieces;
commit lights to scrapbook memory.
City sleeps inside another’s dream.
Take the tour, ride the train.
Keep the new experience moving;
“Soak it in, ‘fore it’s time to see home again”.
Watch that the children don’t get lost;
see the money being tossed.
Personal pleasure, new visitors’
fresh perspectives on the surface thoughts.
