Goodbye
How do you say goodbye to another loved one
when it’s not even a year since his father had gone
To rest in peace, safely in God’s arm,
I still can’t process, my heart’s gone numb.
Too soon, dear Lord, my dear nephew taken
I feel so lost, empty and forsaken
My heart so broken, I couldn’t fathom
Why us, oh God, isn't it so sudden?
In my finite mind, I’ll never know why
No matter hard I try I’ll never get by
But I trust Thee, Lord, in Your great plan
We are safely secure in Your blessed hands.
