Target Practise
Holding a Glock in a Vegas range,
She is shaking and girlish,
Smiling and gawking for the filmer.
Then, taking aim, a little off,
A little out, hitting low.
She is holding this out for me to see
How she is now, behind me,
Infront of me. She is making it
Known how she is, in this
Recorded reality. Turning
To smile at the camera,
Showing her hand
Trembling from the recoil. Toying
With the power of the thing,
Wanting complying questions;
The holes shot through
The paper thin sheet. Wanting
Interventions to flush things out.
Holding out this offering
For me to see how she is,
How it is with her
And the smoking gun,
And her giddy,
Sighting beyond the frame
And wanting to hit home.
