The Legacy
For Dad
Many times you said to us “life is for the living”
Wisdom was your gift and truly you were giving
You said “death is harder, for those we leave behind”
And I’m sure in times to come, that is what we all will find
A strong belief in family is the legacy you leave
And from this we take our comfort as together we will grieve
Forever we will miss you but in our heart you will live on
With our love and admiration you are never truly gone
