Atlantic

This is a poem I wrote for the song Atlantic by Keane

It fits perfectly with the intro music

I’m sitting at the edge of the ocean, with a potion in hand
I close my eyes to try and see things, through my pineal gland
While the waves keep crashing there is silence, all throughout the land
It’s funny ‘cause you gotta turn inwards to see the universe expand

Flying birds and scared mice do not know the meaning of sacrifice
Because ’survival of the fittest’ is the only rule they have in life
Well I’m not the type to feed the hype, I just go about my business
But if you come at me with cruelty I’ll let God be my witness

Soo welcome to the future, its dark
Jupiter minds but Europa hearts (Big brains but cold hearts)
Some eat and fill shopping carts, while others starve, they can’t even fart

Like a blind man who’s throwing darts, this world is far from perfect
But if you follow me I can promise you that I’ll make your stay on Earth worth it
