I keep my pint brush with me
were ever I may go
incase I need to cover up
so the real me doesn’t show
I am afraid of what you’ll see
I’d like to remove all paints coats
to show the real true me
but I want you to try an understand
I need you to except what you’ll see
so if you be patient an close your eyes
please understand how much this hurts
to let the real me show
now all my coats are stripped off
I feel naked, bare an cold
an if you still love me with all that you see
your a friend as pure as gold
I need to save my paint brush though
