I Take Authority
Crushed, distressed
Feeling pressured on every side
Lonely, frustrated
Can’t seem to make it slide
What else? What more?
The pain, the hurt, the shame
Seem more than I could bear
But who am I to blame?
Should I sit and sink in vain
by the pressures of such degree
Should I refuse to get down on my knees
and seek Jesus to help me please
Or should I rise and take authority
No! I can’t just watch my life go down in vain
I am sick of Satan’s lies and evil schemes
How he havoc’s innocent lives
causing divergence in good relationships
Creating discord among God’s people
Masquerading himself as an angel of light
manipulating people to become his slaves
So I take authority.
Over my congregation
Over my family
Over my friends
Over my life
I castrate disbelief, fear, worry
and all other plans of evil against my life
In the Name of Jesus
I take authority
Over the circumstance
Lord, I take authority
In the Name of Jesus
Satan, you’ve lost the victory
Jesus told me that I have the victory
It was when He rose up from the grave
Satan, you did lost the final battle
And through Him I live victoriously
Today, I am taking a stand
So, I rise, I stand
I take authority
With God I’ll strive
I’ll have my victory
I take take authority
Life’s misery, ain’t worth my humility.
So, I take authority
