Worry Bother Me No More

Worry, it’s over
I took you in ‘cause I thought you were my friend
You got stuck on my heart like crazy glue
I wanted you…no... not necessarily
It just so happen that in my dilemma
You were the first to open up your door

I was distressed
I could not understand “why”
I needed healing in my soul
My heart was aching from the strain
I was bleeding from the pressure
It needed to be cauterized
I needed quick relief
A stable mind

And there you were standing
At the corner of “Not Knowing”
That’s where you found me
I was miserable
And you were there to comfort me

Comfort me?
No, you came to create a deeper confusion
I cannot afford

Dear worry bother me no more
‘cause me, I ain’t crying to more
I ain’t worry no more
I am praying and waiting
You must walk out the door

In my desolation you were my inspiration
But worry, like a canker worm your ravaged the very best of me
You left me crippled with more frustration
I really thought you were my loophole
But now it’s disdain

I understand that I won’t always get what I want
Things won’t always go the way that I desire
I may have disappointments
And sometimes will get frustrated

I understand that I do not understand, cannot
And will not understand everything in life
How things happen, why they happen
I understand that life is a journey I must endure

I understand that there would be misery
But most importantly
I understand that I serve a God who despises your potential
Who is bigger that your “W”
And can satisfy my every longing
So I won’t complain
I have no need to stress about life
When God relieves stresses much better than prozac
He is the cure for ridiculous diseases just like you

I don’t worry about my future
God has already prepared for me a wealth of blessings
I couldn’t even imagine
Worry goodbye. Don’t return
This address is no longer available

Worry bother me no more
I ain’t crying no more
I ain’t worry no more
I am praying and waiting
I make no apologies
Worry bother me no more
