Staring into the Rain

Staring into the rain
Thinking through the pain
She blares her music hoping to forget the fight
But she knows it will always come back to haunt her when she is all alone tonight

Staring into the rain
She climbs on the bus
each step makes her feel sick
the aching pain that she will have to face her friends again
and fake another smile won’t go away, it is  in her head, stuck

Staring into the rain
She steps through the building
She feels herself falling
She is worried what others will think
She feels her stomach begin to sink

Staring into the rain
She skips her meals
She doesn’t believe anybody gets how she feels
She smiles and politely declines the food they offer
They Try again but she rejects, why do they even bother?

Staring into the rain
She smiles imagining how it would feel to be set free
She ends her day feeling the same way
She walks through the doors of hell
She looks out her window one more time as if lost in a spell

Standing in the rain
She lets a tear roll down her cheek
She may seem strong but truly she is weak
So she breathes in a sharp breath then walks in
She pulls the blade down her skin

Staring into the pool of blood
She falls to the floor
She couldn’t take the agony anymore
She took her final breath
On the day it was pouring rain
