Valiant Warrior

Valiant Warrior
To value one before yourself
With no regard for fame or wealth
An act of will not conscious mind
To help the sick and heal the blind

To see a void and fill a need
To gather food for mouths to feed
To see one struggle and join the fight
To see a wrong and do what’s right

To face a foe with no remorse
When outnumbered you stay the course
And if you stumble or even fall
You hold fast to a higher call

No moral deed is free from risk
Nor noble heart will go amiss
To stay true to duty’s call
Against all odds and still stand tall

Through the valley you have walked
And seen the shadows and did not balk
When evil came that you did see
Your rod and staff, they comfort thee

When at last this day is thru
Standing midst a chosen few
You answered to His highest call
You won the field and breached the wall

Blood, sweat and tears along with pain
Have not been lost or been in vain
You have passed this moral test
You’re among my chosen best

Now with your Lord you’ve longed to face
With open arms and warm embrace
Welcome home my valiant son
My call to purpose you’ve bravely done
