Caricamento in corso...

Bare Acrostic

It did not creep slowly up my spine,
The way I thought it would.
It did not thread airy tendrils through my thoughts,
Over oceans of time,
Rearranging them in an orderly fashion.
Instead, the fray fell in crushing waves to devour my conscience,
Recalcitrant yearnings, abandoning nascent guilt.
Now, I only play at guilelessness,
A deceiver, who’s natal cry was a siren song.
