I'll Save You a Seat

If you ran away from imaginary kingdoms and the vise of pretense,
I’d chase your smile down narrow streets and wide boulevards,
Into strangers yards and through rusty gates.
I’d make every effort to find you, to ask you to dance with me.
Teach you to sway your hips to some low and sultry beat,
To conduct the air with happiness.
There is more to Life than living, my love,
And more to Death than dying.
If you turn away from the illusions, if you run from their cages,
It will be me that finds you.
There are thousand paths to ordinary, but only one that leads to me.
