Pleiades Refuge

Come Find Me.
I wait on the rock that rises fearsomely out of the ocean,
Topped with lithesome trees and thistle,
Its craggy ground a home for shadowy things.
I wait when the night lets down her veil,
The Seven Sisters making a map for you to follow.
They cast down their light, a lariat to pull you to me.
Do not let the vicious crashing of greedy waves deter you,
I promise, when you are near enough, they will still.
Neither should you fear the irksome beasts that writhe below the waters surface,
They too, bend to my will and will give you leave to pass.
I have fashioned a ladder from the bones of my honorable dead.
It slithers up the precipice like an ophidian scar,
Whose malignant barbs will only alter for you,
Rendering your climb unfettered.
I lie in wait at its zenith, with a heady anticipation,
Your name ghosting across my lips,
One hand open to grasp yours, the other to crown you with laurels.
Here, you will stay with me forever.
The inspiration to a hundred suns,
My Consort,
The embodiment of Carnality and Need.
