The Archer

Inside a village near the forest and woods                                     Sat a well-known archer who was wearing his hood
When the village was in trouble and it all went to rubble          He still gave his all and still stood tall
This man was courageous to take down such beasts                 and later they cooked it and made it a feast
This man could fight an army of lions all coming from the west                                                                                                             yet he would never stop giving it his best
On one fateful day a Cerberus hit the town
It was a huge three-headed dog that destroyed with a frown
The man was shocked; he’d never seen this before
When the dog looked at him all its heads roared
The man fell back from the beast’s mighty tone
He knew he couldn’t fight this monster alone
The man gave the strongest of men an extra fighting bow
And even gave them over two hundred arrows
The man lined them up at the wall of the city
All of the men smirked and still looked gritty
The beast ran through the village as quickly as it could go
The man said the word and they all fired in a row
The arrows were like falling snow or like rushing rain
Yet the arrows falling down did look insane
The beast glared up at the horror in the sky
And triumphantly the beast was punctured and had died
The town was saved but still it crumbled
But who cares; they were humbled
Though the town nearly lost the battle to the beast
They still rejoiced in their whole-town feast
