Through the Eisen Doors I

Gymnasium

Somehow, she knew I understood none
Of the words spoken, or written
So out of place, this unfamiliar ground I’m on
Her presence and soft voice was however comforting

Welcome, she smiled at me
She had a small frame
I thought, barely into her prime
Stepping out the broad Eisen doors
I felt the warm air caress my skin
Such a lovely place
A love affair seemed to be blooming

Now she fills thoughts with memories
I would put words to broken thoughts
And put speed to aching legs
If only to catch a glimpse of her soft oval face
