What a choice we have; we’re so screwed
One’s a liar, the other’s so damn crude!

Remember Whitewater? Oh, she’s so crooked
But he’s a racist, a sexist, just plain wicked!
We heard she’s hard on the Secret Service
But anything he says, simply makes us nervous

She’s gonna have Bill back in the White House
But if he wins, we’ll all be in the outhouse.
She was a total failure as Secretary of State
But his words inspire xenophobia and hate

We’d rather see her retire, be a grandmother
We’d rather the misogynist be cannon fodder
Yes, what a choice we have; we’re so screwed
Let's sleep for four years; oh, if only we could!

Lol poetry and politics have a lot in common. Think about it. Both strive to stir emotion and both are completely verbal in nature. Both seek action, both critique, both are aware of each other, etc.
I've learned this from reading David Orr.

Also, this poem is funny

There's humor in the saddest of circumstances... :)

It's nice you wrote this. It put a smile on my face, though serious in nature. We certainly are in a dilemma! I enjoy your wittiness.

Not mich I can do this next four years. Might as well find humor in our sad situation. :)

Evils are said to wear a protective skin thicker than the longest spears or knives likely to thrust it. Looks like the four horsemen/woman of apocalypse are geared with head to toe explosion proof multi layer Kevlar full plate body armor.
Nothing can scratch, chink let alone penetrate it. Their lies and egotism stay intact here to eight years ahead.
I'll take a long, long nap and hope, no, pray that I am able to wake up after that time.
Thanks Brod. I'll post my Trump poem after the elections.

Sadly, the only ray of hope in the horizon, is that only one of them will win, The second bright spot is that both are 70 or close to, and maybe, just maybe neither will be up for a second term. In the face of hopelessness, I am still hopeful and optimistic.

Or not choose at all, lest we be responsible for what either of them will do. :)

Thank you Charlotte for liking.

I wonder if the political situation in our country is better or worse.

Honestly, I think it is much worse in the Philippines.
