Far less painful is it to compromise,
to not even utter your thoughts,
to be lukewarm always,
to not feel passion within any topic
But then for what reason would we live?
We are to thrive on fire alone
Maybe we are not made or marriage
or even careers unless they completely obliterate us
Unless they expose every ounce of beauty and terror welled inside each of us
And if they don’t
if they don’t challenge our core,
Is it even love? Is it really our calling?
Is it worth any morsel of our precious time
