Between the lines
What you seek
with such fervent zeal,
as you scour those
sacred texts and scriptures,
is far greater than
the written word can be.
For all the knowledge
of all the worlds
amounts to lifeless markings
in the sand
before the mighty sweep
of time and tide.
Life’s priceless secret
lies within your grasp
plain for all to see,
who cease to look for it.
If you were only just
to read between the lines.
