My Bed
The satin that covers my legs,
and the silk that tangles my arms,
my bed,
my home.
The pillow all bright and soft,
filled with feathers from the softest birds in the world,
the frame as tall as me,
wired from rim to rim,
in humble white paint,
and glossy coating.
