Fear
Never had the opportunity to meet you fear,
I felt I could handle you when we met dear.
I waited to have a peek when I was an innocent child,
Playing in the streets with people known and unknown,
But I met faith and learned all strangers are not danger.
I waited to meet when I was teased by bullies,
But I met courage and strength; and dared to confront.
I thought I would meet you
when I had to travel to places unknown with people little known,
But I met hope and made friends,
realized world is not a bad place to live after all.
I lost all hope of meeting you ever,
when i failed over and over again,
and met patience and determination.
Then to my surprise we met at the most unexpected set,
My heaven; a place I thought to be safe,
where I was sure to meet love and trust.
You crept into my world when I was unguarded;
with a friendly face, showing world is full of fakes.
You made my heaven a heavenly hell,
and broke my trust in myself.
I never complained thinking situations would change,
and my heaven would be a better place again;
i realized, even though situations change, people won’t.
Now that I know your true face, let’s don’t haste.
Let me showcase my virtues in this challenging phase.
Faith, Hope, Courage, Strength, Patience and Determination;
These are not just virtues but Jewels that I adore,
Picked up while waiting for you all through.
Someone said it right, fear is only as deep as mind allows.
You will no longer rule my life,
i will confront you and pull you aside,
just by donning my jewels with a beautiful smile.
