A war torn town
As darkness begins to fade, the light reveals a place where children once played.
Now covered in blood and holes, occupied now by older souls.
Homes and buildings reduced to rubble, where people walk and stumble.
With barely anything of the little town left, a few buildings with a cleft.
In a battle ravaged town where kids once played, is now a place that they wish they hadn’t stayed.
