We Are One
We can take back the power for the people.
We can determine the course of our own lives.
It’s a matter of unity, bringing people together and helping each other.
Thank you for being here today.
You matter, you are important.
Our world feels better with you here.
As we see the chains of our people fall away,
We know we have found home.
When we enjoy each other for who we are, and allow each to be free according to their own heart,
We know we are one.
To be blind to our unity is to remain caged.
When we see another’s pain and turn away indifferent, we are denying our own heart.
When we stand up and stand out for what is right and true and kind,
We seize our strength.
In a world where survival is simple,
And thriving is a matter of course,
We can see ourselves in others
And smile.
