The things we say...
They can make us or break us.
We can save the lives of those we love,
or cause those dreaded tears to fall from their sad eyes...

To have his head in my lap,
  him venting his every emotion.
Every emotion he refuses to fell—-
Or at least admit he feels.
Because a kiss wasn’t just a kiss to him,
but a knife through his chest.
He silences himself in fear he might force
the knife in someone else.

He is a saint in my eyes,
For he feels the pain of others so deeply.
Wants to save them,
even if he can’t save himself.
His mind takes every blow,
Which is invisible to most everyone else.
He hears the things in which no one listens to,
And speaks as though God told him what to say.

He just wants the world to be happy,
even if that means he’s miserable.

His own demons are but a small annoyance,
if only everyone else’s were gone
completely.

He cares too much,
and that hinders him.

An entire disaster could be placed in front of him,
And he would be okay as long as he could
make it disappear.

His tears are shed for the ones he loves,
  if only that were enough.

He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders,
but it won’t be long until he
Collapses.

He can’t hold everyone else’s world in his hands,
as much as he will try—-

He wants to make everyone happy,
But blames himself when their outlets
turn chemical or
Destructive.

He too loves the broken,
loves those who understand.

He can’t carry the burdens of the world,
Because everyone is on a different path.
But he still tries.
