John Wayne

First nation heroes fall. Properly coursed villains rise. I not sure which is worse the reality or the demise.

It’s very true, the Apotheosis of my culture didn’t culminate in some sort of…. manifest destiny.
Perhaps we are these hopeless passengers trapped in a government issued stagecoach of re-education

These Celluloid frames launched much more
then careers, they gave birth to a slander, if you can accept that.

Plains “Indians” are everywhere apparently in this desert of grainy misconception.
Let’s kill this noble savage, because everyone knows,
The only good Indian, is a dead one.

Well, which one I ask you,
The dot or the feather?

My people have survived more than storms and all the inclement weather, we survived the
Injustice of a Just-Us mentality.

We have died fighting against the will of the ethnocentric, enforced by
A thunder stick of the indifferent.

In real life now, there is a battle to be had on all the
Archetypes and typecast that are simply just bad.
I hope and believe these stereotypes won’t last, because with all of my effort and soul
I will struggle to set right the truth of my tribal past.

War drums calling, yet this is not my way.

You and I have right to make, so let’s go.

“We’re burning daylight pilgrim.”
