Blue & Yellow
A poem I created inspired by working at a nursery.
Blue and yellow, sky and sun
Up there can see you, up there you’ve become;
The warmth of my soul that’s surrounding my heart,
The wide open space that I can travel so far.
Be gentle with me, when clouds hide you away,
Though I do know your colors will appear some day.
In the grey of the rain or the white from the snow, know now I will wait until your colors will show.
Blue and yellow, sky and sun
Up there can see you, up there you’ve become; a part of the world, for people to see.
For warmth and for calm, for you and for me.
