Dead Flowers

He plays with dead roses, trying to figure out how to turn back time.
If there could only be a time machine and enjoy the beginning.
To have more clarity to those blurry memories that he tries to relive.
When he was the happiest man on earth and felt undefeatable.
Just because there was someone who loved him despite his flaws.
To savior every second when his lips gently kissed that one girl.
He would trade everything in his power just to hold her once more.

But that time machine would also have another purpose, not as nicest.
Be prepared for when the waves crash, and it’s time to say goodbye.
The anticipation of heartbreak, that he thought it might destroy him.
The feeling of the world collapsing on his shoulders, unable to stop it.
When he laid down in the cold sand, trying to figure out what went wrong.
Was everything his fault? The intensity of his emotions? His insecurities?

Those permanent questions could drive any man mad even paranoid.
Because at the beginning of any relationship you can’t anticipate the end.
Destiny might have it all planned, and there’s nothing he couldn’t do.
But if that isn’t the case, how are you supposed to accept it and move on?
Now all he can do is play with roses wishing he could go back in time.
