Who knows if I ll ever be
Quite the same to you or me
It felt at first there was no way
I d carry on and have my say
Pain of mind and fear is just a part
Of what cuts so deep in my heart
A fight I knew I have to win
To be right there for all and him
To wake each day I know I should
To Be the best I can, I could
But there are times I dread to be
Unlike before that day, just me!
I hope and try with each day
To learn a little more and say
The way i feel inside and need to be
Who knows if I ll ever be that me?
A day I’d never thought I’d face
That changes life in quite this way
So without the choice I need to be
That person that I was before, just me!
