Living a Nightmare

Drawing all these pictures
with silver smearing red.
Contemplating life,
would I be better off dead?
With a litter knife,
my masterpiece is done.
Now to just sit,
and watch the blood run.
Down my arms,
and down my thighs.
They see my drawings
and ask me why.
Why did I do it?
Was it worth all of that?
Why do I want the attention so bad?
They’re not for attention,
or for the satisfaction of others.
These pictures show the many faces
of depression, anxiety, and pain.
They remind one that they are not simply having
a bad dream, but living a nightmare.
Only some of us... don’t wale up.
