Dominant Paradigm
Sinking in this tar pit of emotions
Suffocating in the filth spilt ocean
Choking on the bile of life
Regurgitating digested feelings and lies
Vomiting them back into my mind
Waking me from this benign dream
Reminding me that the pain is real
Implying that I must not feel
Feeling will only make things worse
Feeling is nothing but a curse
I must stay numb
I must surrender and succumb
To the dripping jaws of the dominant paradigm.
