Reclusive Pleasure

Reclusive Pleasure

Opened the screen,
An illuminating shine gleams the eyes.
Clicked the screen,
Waiting for the windows to rise.

Feels like the same scene,
Running over and over
Where the wallpaper is filled with
Flying clover and clovers.

Opened the inbox,
Filled with endless spam
Wondered for a minute,
Deleted as a scam.

Checked the social media,
Filled with pictures of illusory happiness
Scrolled the pages,
Where people promote happiness.

People online, seem happy,
Happiness is everywhere.
Same people offline, seemed not so happy,
Happiness is nowhere.

Social world’s three rules,
Attention to happiness
Retention to sadness
Detention to craziness.

Tried clicking pictures,
Believing Popularity will clout.
Spent hours on internet
Believing happiness will sprout.
In the end,
Day ended, with no doubt.

Closed the screen,
A diminishing shine glowed my eyes.
Saw the Blank screen,
Laughed till it teared my eyes.

       And

Remembered once said,
Internet, a wonderful myth of life,
Virtuality, a beautiful dream of people,
Reality, a hopeless miserable, yet
Truthful version of world.

Live your life dreaming
Or live your life screaming.

Thank you.

A Short poem.
