(2015)
Summertime gives A chance to grow Under the sun, Travel, to new places And have some fun.
Pale blue moon Of August, Peeking behind The clouds, Luminous,
If we could embrace our sorrow and surf on our tears, surely our hearts would grow wider to hold the years
Misty fog floating through bare trees. Cold waves of wind coarse through the woods whistling as they go
On a walk this morning, the rocky cliffs that reach the blue-green sea, talk of strength today.
Lately, a sadness pervades, I mourn for youth, perhaps passion of younger days. With age, some of that passion
Orange full moon with a half smile, a hanging lantern, lighting the way, through dark streets,
Itchy eyes scaly feet achy joints and bad teeth hair so fine
Time is going by fast, Trying not to live in the past, To keep priorities straight And not falter at the gate. To join the universal goal
Remember goodness in the fire of e… Remember joy in the center of sorr… Remember love in the flood of hate… Remember courage in the pit of fea… It’s never too late.
In the rustle of leaves the wind plays a tune, the change of season is on the horizon. It asks permission
Memories of my childhood Visit more and more Each day, As ghosts of past relatives Cast their shadows,
As we shared stories, The warm hum of voices heard, A cup of love spilled.
When I sit And watch The in and out Of breath, Thoughts no longer
Driving down the road, The song, “Let It Be” Came on the radio. Taking me back to Various scenarios.
