This is the America I know:
A sea of white, black, red, yellow
And brown faces,
Strong minds and voices
Raised to the sun,
In a song of harmony.

This is the America I know:
Fear of diversity is a myth,
The earth is our common home,
Our differences, a strength
And not a weakness.

This is the America I know:
Courage is the sacred vow,
A guide for action now,
To cry out against hate,
It’s never too late to love!

Compassion, goodness, kindness are the qualities we need to accomplish this. I agree, America is filled with strong people.

This poem is so true Barb, although I do not agree with some of the methods being used.
I believe we're going to be ok if we put our trust in God not man. I enjoyed your poem it's beautiful as always, and true.l
