It’s funny how once you’ve loved someone
And let them go
It’s almost like you never knew them at all;
Their memory is a long-forgotten song
Alive only in the depths of your subconscious
Until one day, you remember why it was stuck in your head
In the first place–
And you realize that even though they’re not a part of your life anymore
They still manifest in every aspect of your being.
