Dear Mother

Dear Mother,

It seems centuries since you’ve been away.
I’ve tried to forgive you for your betrayal.
I wonder what I did that made you feel you could destroy my life .
I imagine you somewhere floating in the sky looking down at me like an Angel .
You continue to haunt my dreams crushing them like my voice wasn’t appreciated .
Wherever you are, I will never forget the scars you left in my fragile state of mind .
