Do you have everything you need?
Do you shiver with apprehension?
They did what they could to predict this
They did not falter under pressure
Every minute accounted for
Every scenario mapped out
Have the doors and windows been locked tight?
Have the gates and portals been shut?
Is there anything more to be done?
Is there something that’s been overlooked?
Can you see any lights in the sky?
Can you hear their shrieks on the wind?
When they come will we feel them inside us?
How will we know when we’re gone?
