You Again!

From a cosmic rhythmic guitar "lesson" on the 4th of October, a new quadrant of discovery...

Surprising, but yet not at all
That we orbit in again, after unknown miracles and tragedy

Yes, it’s YOU again!

And we know through the familiar spark, like the glint in the eye of a wild animal
Or the same pure force that stands up the hairs on our arm, when thunder rolls near

I am relieved that I held my ears, when the chorus of familiar fears, began
And that I held a breath until they rumbled off
back to that dark lake of attachment and mind

Yes, it is good to share a cup, and laugh the same laugh as babies and Buddha
And when we look up, to see your familiar face
Not because of time spent on this wheel, or footprints left together by a fleshly heel

But because we gaze back at ourselves!

Yes, it’s ME again!

And what a silly notion that we own these suits of skin
Or that love is a dish best served on time, neatly set at the table of our expectations

Love is a kiss in passing, and yet an eternal presence underneath this veil we hold so dear
And now I almost understand, what it might mean to take another’s hand

For it is in the letting go that we write these letters in the sand
and giggle through our tears when they return to the waves
As strangers in this strange strange land

And though I know not what it is
That you, this reflection of me, has yet to teach
I will try hold steady my third eye’s gaze, knowing that this beauty is beyond my reach
And in the letting go of all desire, letting my cherished notions die
I may walk with you to where there is no difference when we laugh and cry
Because all tears taste the same, and all these answers end with WHY

Yes, it’s YOU again, and I am glad to welcome you back to where we were all along
writing poems and singing songs
Just children in this planetary sandbox, too young for right and wrong

It’s YOU again!
